BANDUNG-West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) will gather and provide counselling to the former of Fajar Nusantara Movement (Gafatar) members from West Java in social rehabilitation units before being returned to their community.
According to him, it has been coordinated with the Head of National and Political Unity Office (Kesbangpol), and Social Department in handling these case. Moreover, it is estimated that nearly 450 citizens of West Java will be repatriated from West Kalimantan.
"I have contacted to Kesbangpol and Social Department, and we will accommodate them in the temporary shelter belonging to the provincial government in Cirebon, Lembang, and Cimahi. If it possible will also be accommodated at the House of Dharma Wanita, Bandung," he said at Pakuan Building, Bandung, Friday (22/01/2016).
Aher said it was necessary to provide them counselling firstly to prevent rejection of their community against their misguided alleged organisation. On the other hand, it will provide corrective counselling in mentally and religion in order to change their faith.
"If it possible, we will survey and conduct coordination with local governments, to look up to their hometown condition, and we will repatriate them if it considered their belief has back," he said.
Reported by the West Java Police, as many as 97 of the 439 former members of Gafatar from West Java will be repatriated on this Friday (22/01/2016). They planned will be returned home using KRI Teluk Amboina to the Port of Tanjung Mas Semarang, Central Java.
The former Gafatar members from West Java coming from Tasikmalaya, Depok, Bogor, Cirebon, Banten, Bekasi, Brass, Garut, Bandung.
Bogor has the most citizens of the former Gafatar members which is about 39 people, followed by Tasikmalaya (13), Cirebon (12), Bekasi (11), Depok (6), and Banten, Kuningan, Garut, Bandung with amounts of 4 people respectively.
Aher re-emphasised citizens from West Java in order to strengthen the family ties to prevent this misguided ideologies.
"We can easily notice by their strange behaviour if it compared with Muslim ideology. So this is our role here as family to strengthen each other," he said.
He said, it also will coordinate with all elements simultaneously, such as religious leaders, community leaders, and law enforcement agencies to anticipate that similar incidents do not recur.
