BANDUNG-West Java Provincial Government with Governor Decree No. 561 / Kep.1020-Yanbangsos / 2017 establish West Java Province Minimum Wage 2018. In the Decree that West Java Minimum Wage 2018 set at Rp 1,544,360,57. Governor Decree West Java Minimum Wage 2018 was signed by West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan on October 30, 2017.
"Minimum Wage 2018 is up about 8.71% from the previous Minimum Wage or 2017" said Head of Manpower and Transmigration of West Java Province Ferry Sofwan in a press conference at Gedung Sate, Wednesday afternoon (1/11).
According to Ferry, the Minimum Wage 2018 figures are at least based on two main things: inflation and national economic growth rate.
"Inflation of 3.7%, economic growth rate of 4.99%, and 8.71% increase in Minimum Wage is also according to the Minister of Manpower's decision" he said.
After the Minimum Wage 2018 was determined according to Ferry, City/ District is expected to immediately ask Minimum Wage each of which should not be less than Minimum Wage.
"On November 21, West Java provincial government is expected to determine the size of city/ district after previously city/ districts applying Minimum Wage to province to be determined" he concluded. (Even)
