BANDUNG - Commemorating Youth Pledge Day, Pos Indonesia, Pelni and PT Pembangunan Perumahan perform the submission of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) amounting to Rp500.000.000, - in the form of education fund and student fund aid.
"In addition to providing education assistance, SOEs also submit certificates to 1,000 SOEs participants attending Campuses signed by the SOE Minister," said President Director of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Gilarsi W. Setijono in Bandung, not long ago.
The series of activities were also filled with state-owned teaching which was followed by 1,000 UPI students and filled with the delivery of materials and discussions by the Rector of UPI Prof. Dr. H. R Asep Kadarohman, M.Si, President Director of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Gilarsi W. Setijono, President Director of PT Pelni (Persero) Insan Purwarisya L. Tobing, and President Director of PT PP (Persero) Tbk Tumiyana.
Gilarsi said that the activities of "Building a Just Indonesia Economy" is also conducted simultaneously in 28 universities in Indonesia aimed at providing an understanding to the academic community about the condition of the national economy and bridging the synergy of SOEs with universities that have professional resources.
"This activity is an effort to improve the understanding and awareness of the national economic condition and the role of SOEs as well as increase the link and match between SOEs and universities," said Gilarsi
Civitas academica became the purpose of this activity, Gilarsi continued because it is an important part of the nation's generation which is expected to be able to transform Indonesia into a better, fair and prosperous nation.
Meanwhile, President Director of PT Pelni Insan Purwarisya L Tobing adds SOEs Present on Campus also provides an opportunity for students to discuss directly in getting a picture of the quality of college graduates sought by the company, especially to be accepted to work as an employee of SOEs.
"We want to motivate UPI students to contribute to this nation by becoming productive and innovative generation, because the global challenge is getting tighter," he concluded (MAT)
