BANDUNG-French Ambassador to Indonesia Jean Charles Berthonnet paid a courtesy call to the West Java Provincial Government.
West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan received direct French ambassador who brought along a number of prominent corporate leaders in France to explore cooperation in various sectors in Lokantara Meeting Room Gedung Sate Bandung, Friday (20/10/2017) morning.
"It was courtesy call, because new ambassador has never visited here and at the same time utilize the meeting by bringing a number of entrepreneurs, they invite cooperation," said Governor Aher met after the meeting.
One of them is cooperation in the field of education. Aher said, currently in Bandung has stood the French Institute of Indonesia located in Purnawarman Street. He hopes, through this cooperation will further increase the number of French students studying Indonesian and Sundanese as well as the people of West Java who learn French language and culture.
"Here is the French-Indonesian Institute, there are 600 French students studying Indonesia and vice versa, so people, young people and young people who want to continue their education in France study in this Institute," said Aher.
During the meeting, Aher was accompanied by the Head of Government Bureau and Cooperation West Java Provincial Government Taufiq Budi Santoso, Acting Head of Department of Industry and Trade West Java Hening Widiatmoko and Head of Investment and Licensing Office of Integrated West Java Dadang Masoem. From the West Java provincial government itself, Aher offers investment opportunities in Aerocity West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati which has an area doubled from the Airport itself.
