    Muhammadiyah Builds New Campus


    BANDUNG - To help the government in efforts to improve education index, Muhammdiyah builds a new campus located at Soekarno-Hatta Road, Bandung City, West Java.

    Rector of the University of Muhammadiyah Bandung, Suyatno, said that the campus located on Soekarno-Hatta Road, Bandung City is a development of the previous campus in Turangga Road.

    "Later, the 1.4 hectare campus will have four buildings with a gradual development, the first phase will be built lecture and rectorate building with a budget of Rp150 billion," he said.

    Suyatno hoped that the construction of a new campus with a budget of Rp 350 billion could go according to plan and do not experience any barriers and could be part of contribution for education in Indonesia.

    "Once completed, we will move all students in the old campus here, because the old campus can only accommodate 350 people, in the new campus can be up to 10,000 people," he said. (Parno)
