    West Java Vice Governor is Optimistic AGAT 2017 Can Give Birth International Level Surfers


    BANDUNG - Vice Governor of West Java, Deddy Mizwar (Demiz) is optimistic with the convening of the international-scale Surfing Championship, Amazing Geopark Adventure Tourism (AGAT 2017) can give birth to international surfers who are international class.

    Demiz said it has been proven by surfing athletes Sukabumi origin Dede Suryana who has won the international arena.

    "It has been proven by Dede Suryana who is already champion in Asian level, even now he has a special school of surfers," he told reporters on the Cimaja beach, Sukabumi regency, West Java, Saturday (14/10/2017)

    Cimaja Beach is not only used as a tourist attraction but can give birth to athletes of the world. It is expected that in the future, it can add surfing athletes from West Java who scored achievements at international level.

    "It is not impossible, if now there is a special school surfing it will be many more surfers from the West Java world," said Demiz.

    As it is known, A total of 14 world-class surfers from 13 countries certainly ready to ride the waves Cimaja Beach, Sukabumi District, West Java. They will compete to be the best in International Surf Exhibition on 14-15 October 2017.

    "The contestants who follow the event are from Morocco, Maldives, Taiwan and Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Hawaii, Thailand, New Zealand, the Philippines, Italy and Russia, and the rest are Indonesian both junior and senior.
