Decrease Poverty Numbers, Demiz Request to Avoid Copy Paste Budget & Perform Data Update

PURWAKARTA REGENCY-Based on Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) data as of March 2017, the poverty rate in West Java has decreased. However, this decrease was not significant from 8.77% to 8.71% or decreased by only 0.006% of the target 1% per year. That is, there are still about 4 million more West Java residents still live in poverty line.

Despite the downturn, West Java Vice Governor Deddy Mizwar (Demiz) has asked the districts / municipalities, agencies, and related institutions to continue to focus on this poverty issue. Therefore, important coordination meetings will be held in every BKPP Region. Program approaches that can be done to reduce poverty, through social protection to poor families, improve the quality of basic services, and improve economic empowerment of the community.

Such an approach will not work effectively without a definite budget and the data of the poor. To that end, Demiz requested the relevant departments and leading sector to avoid copy paste budget and keep updating poverty data in the form of integrated data system.

"I hope that the related sector or the leading sector is always coordinated, so there really is togetherness, the clarity of the target in the implementation so that the right program, the right activities, the right location, and also the right budget If you can avoid copy paste (budget) yes Well, so as not to copy paste West Java Province trying to build a database in Bangusapemda (Development of Local Potential Analysis), and in it there is valid data of each district, every village even by name by address So it can be evaluated there, "said Vice Governor Demiz in Coordination Meeting of the Regional Poverty Reduction Coordination Team (TKPKD) for BKPP Region II Purwakarta at the Office of the Coordinating Agency for Government and Development (BKPP) Region II Purwakarta, Siliwangi Street No. 1, Purwakarta Regency, Friday (13/10/17).

With the existence of valid data and updates, every poor family will be able to know what poverty reduction program has been received. According to Demiz, at least every poor family received four assistance programs, namely Indonesia Smart Card (KIP), Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS), Family Hope Program (PKH), and Rice Prosperity or Rastra. Validity and update of this data system will be able to determine the accuracy of the program and location of the target, so that the budget disbursed can be accountable and accountable properly.

"I saw yesterday in one village alone that got four or even five programs but one family can not be altogether. Add when there is a poor family touched by the social program earlier, direct update, so easy to evaluate. given the help of the family is still poor or has moved not so poor, so easy to evaluate and easy to determine the next strategy, "said Demiz.

"I do not play about this poverty, because as a leader this is the responsibility," he continued.

Institutional strengthening and data integration system is the capital of effort in alleviating poverty problem. Therefore, real time data and integrated data systems need to be implemented to ensure accountability of absorption and accuracy of budget targets.

"We need mutual commitment, synergy together, overlapping and there are data that is always updated so that it is right on target, which family, its location where, so the budget can be accounted for, that is the importance of synergy," said Vice Governor.
