    Tourism Ministry Releases Calendar of Events 2018

    BANDUNG-Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) launches Calendar of Events 2018 Selayar Islands District.

    Deputy of Tourism Development of Nusantara (Deputy P3N) Tourism Ministry Esthy Reko Astuti explained the launch of this tourism event calendar as an effort to promote and increase tourist visit to Selayar regency in 2018 targeting more than 11 thousand tourists.

    "In the 2018 event calendar, Selayar District will prepare about 50 events relying on the attractiveness of culture (culture), nature (nature), marine tourism and man-made with the title of Enchantment Takabonerate 2018 as the main event," Esthy said in her official statement received in Bandung, (12/10/2017)

    According to Esthy, Takabonerate National Park designated as a National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) is an icon for world-class marine tourism and will host the international event Sail Indonesia or Sail Takabonerate 2019 upcoming.

    Launch of Calendar of Events 2018 Selayar Islands District as a preparation for Selayar Regency in welcoming tourism 2018 targeting the arrival of 17 million foreign tourists (tourists) and 270 million tourists movement of the archipelago (wisnus) in the country.

    "From a number of events prepared in Calendar of Events 2018 Selayar Islands District are expected to be selected as one of 100 premiere of international event Wonderful Indonesia 2018, "said Esthy

    Esthy Reko Astuti said Minister of Tourism (Menpar) Arief Yahya in National Coordination Meeting III Tourism 2017 in Jakarta recently confirmed the need for stimulus in every region in order to create an international event entered in Calendar of Event (CoE) Wonderful Indonesia 2018.

    "CoE Wonderful Indonesia 2018 needs to be compiled and then curated based on sustainable international standards, managed professionally, and tightly scheduled," he concluded (MAT)
