    Government Disburses Rp 700 Billion for PT Pindad Factory Expansion


    BANDUNG-The Government through State Capital Participation (PMN) has injected RP 700 billion as PMN to PT Pindad (Persero), where Rp 400 billion for the construction of new line of expansion of Small Caliber munition factory (MKK) in Division of Munitions PT Pindad (Persero ), Turen, Malang.

    The expansion of the MKK plant will increase the capacity of domestic ammunition production capacity to meet the domestic needs of the Indonesia Armed Forces, Police, Ministry of Defense and government institutions / government institutions.

    President Director of PT Pindad (Persero), Abraham Mose said so far with the existing engine lines, the capacity per year is still in the range of 165 million millions per year. So with the PMN injection, the production capacity will be increased to about 275 millions per year by 2019.

    This is in line with President Jokowi's mandate to realize the independence of the defense industry and demonstrate to the stakeholders the strong commitment of the government in building the defense industry through the provision of PMN for the purchase of MKK production machinery.

    Abraham said PT Pindad (Persero) is also exploring cooperation with global-scale defense companies in the field of MKK. Seeing the needs of the Indonesia Armed Forces, Indonesia Police, other ministries authorized to use firearms and ammunition, the needs of athletes in shooting associations as well as regional markets MKK in Asia, it also initiated to conduct joint operation / join production joint review with global-scale defense companies in the field of MKK development.
