However, according to Vice Governor of West Java, Deddy Mizwar, along with the development and advancement of information technology in Indonesia including in West Java, animation sub-sector currently has considerable potential to continue to be developed.
"Baros International Animation Festival (BIAF) Forum is very appropriate to continue to promote and explore interest and animated talent especially among students and young generation," said Vice Governor, in his speech at the opening of BIAF 2017, in Cimahi Technopark, Baros, Cimahi, Java West, Friday (06/10).
The Vice Governor said that BIAF's activities can sharpen the creativity and experience of local animators on the path of film, games and comics and expand the network with professional animators, animation studios, startup business actors and other animation business entities at regional, national and international levels .
"I expect BIAF to be an" entry point "to attract investment in the national animation industry as well as the cooperation between animators and business entities from abroad including jointly creating high quality, high value animated works," he said. (Parno)
