BANDUNG-West Java Provincial Government received the Certificate of Intangible Cultural Heritage (WBTB) submitted directly by the Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta.

Certificate received Head of Tourism and Culture of West Java Province Ida Hernida. For the year 2017 West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) received 5 certificates, namely art Gembyung, Iket Sunda, Kolecer West Java, Leuit and Nyangku.

Head of Tourism and Culture of West Java Province Ida Hernida explained for submission next year WBTB will be appealed and socialized to all districts of West Java city to be submitted to the Ministry of Education and Culture. At least, for next year West Java Province can apply to the center 27 WBTB.

"In the near future West Java Tourism and Culture Office will coordinate with the city/ regency in a meeting that will be implemented in the near future so that, there can be synergic between the city and the provincial government," he told reporters in Bandung on Friday (6/10/2017)

According to Ida, if you see the government of Special Region of Yogyakarta, which only shaded 4 districts and 1 city, can get 18 WBTB for the year 2017. There, for the submission of WBTB from the city/ regency has been budgeted so that in its implementation can get away with it all.

In 2017, the provincial government of West Java filed 6 WBTB. However, one art of Toleat did not escape because it is not 55 years old. Nevertheless, this Toleat art will be re-proposed again, because based on search and study, Toleat art is already 55 years old.

Therefore, in the near future West Java Tourism and Culture Office will appeal to the regencies / cities of West Java can at least propose 1 art culture that is certain and meets the criteria for the proposed Ministry of Education and Culture, in order to be defined as the Intangible Heritage.
