    The Number of Foreign Tourist Visiting West Java Continues to Increase


    BANDUNG-Wisman (foreign tourists) who visited West Java (Jabar) observed through Husein Sastranegara Airport Bandung City and Muarajati Port of Cirebon City in August recorded by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) West Java has increased.

    The arrival of foreign guests through Husein Sastranegara Airport in August 2017 as many as 15,196 people, an increase of 31.27 percent compared to July 2017 which recorded 11,576 people.

    The tourists who come through the Port of Muarajati Cirebon are all crews of ships whose numbers rose from 50 people in July 2017 to 126 people in August 2017 or up by 152.00 percent.

    Most tourists who come to West Java nationality Malaysia and Singapore. In August 2017, Malaysian tourists who come through Husein Sastranegara Airport as many as 10,216 people. This amount is up 39.18 percent compared to July 2017 which reached 7,340 people. The number of Singaporean tourists rose 11.68 percent from 2,124 people in July 2017 to 2,372 in August 2017.

    "The total number of foreign tourists visiting West Java in August 2017 was 15,322 people, an increase of 31.79 percent compared to July 2017 which recorded 11,626 people," said Head of West Java Central Bureau of Statistics, Dody Herlando, Tuesday (3/10).

    In addition to foreign tourists from Malaysia and Singapore, the number of foreign tourists with Japanese, Chinese, English, German, French and Saudi Arabia also increased. While foreign tourists from the Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, India, Australia, the United States and the Netherlands have decreased. jo
