Board: Next Year, West Java Must Focus on Infrastructure

BANDUNG-Vice Chairman of West Java Provincial Parliament Abdul Harris Bobihoe explained, in 2017 there is an increase in development of West Java region when compared to the previous year. For that, it urged the Provincial Government (Pemprov) West Java more focus on building infrastructure in 2018.

This was disclosed Abdul Harris after attending Plenary Session of the General Faction of Regional Expenditure Budget (APBD) West Java Province in 2018 in the West Java Parliament building, Monday (2/10/2017).

Harris said West Java Regional Expenditure Budget 2018 reached Rp 33 trillion which includes education budget of 20%, Health 10% and infrastructure 70%.

The emphasis of the infrastructure development sector, said Haris, is preferred to support large projects such as the construction of West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati and other infrastructure that will support the economic progress of West Java.

"For next year the sector will be more emphasis on infrastructure, especially supporting large projects namely BIJB Kertajati and other infrastructure that will support West Java economic progress," he said.

According to him, if infrastructure development in West Java runs well, it will reduce the production cost of the community including farmers and fishermen.

"The existence of good infrastructure, farmers and fishermen in the region can sell the results better," he concluded. (MAT)
