BANDUNG-West Java Regional Secretary Iwa Karniwa reached his doctoral degree with 'cum laude’ achievement in Doctoral Promotion Open Session which was held at Graha Sanusi Hardjadinata Padjadjaran University on Thursday (01/14/16).
His submitted a thesis entitled ‘Competitive Strategy And Value Creation Driven by the Strength of Environment Industry and Enterprise’s Resource Implications In BPR Performance’.
The research conducted start from 2012 where the BPR (Community's Credit Agency) had been existed since 1972 in the city/county West Java, whereas it does not produce a good income. “Whereas BPR is greatly contribute adding PAD (local income tax) to the district/city and also ease community obtaining venture capital," said Iwa.
Iwa said the five variables in problem definition in this research including the strength aspect of environmental industry, company's resources, value creation, competitive strategy and company's performance, but the result was not optimal. Then after the assessment, he found one model named Model Sustainability performance of BPR that will benefit to the directors and managers improving company performance by showing profit increases.
Iwa expected with this theory, the BPR’s sustainability can be applied to improve corporate profits and better performance. Therefore, it will try to disseminate it in 65 BPR city/county in West Java and Banten and also conducting cooperation with the national bank.
Iwa Karniwa studied in the Doctoral Program of Business Management in Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University and began a dissertation since August 2012. He has been doing his research based on data census in each area. Iwa's doctoral promotion session, was attended by Vice Governor of West Java Dedy Mizwar along with Giselawati Mizwar and head of OPD West Java Provincial Government.
