    Singaporean Students from Indonesia Wins Socio Digi Leaders 2017


    BANDUNG - After the success in 2016, PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) again held the Socio Digi Leaders in 2017. Socio Digi Leaders (SDL), a program to encourage and capture talented young talents who have social sensitivity to implement ideas and his ideas.

    Unlike the previous year, SDL 2017 is not only limited to digital application-based solutions and its participants are not limited from within the country, but also abroad.

    After completing a rigorous judging process, three Singaporean Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore students from Regina Eunike Febby, Steven Aditya and Joshua Nathanael Santoso won the SDL 2017. The Share Cup idea presented by the three students became the best from 10 participants selected to attend the Grand Final of SDL 2017 held at Telkom Corporate University, Bandung, (28/7).

    Share Cup is an idea in the field of marketing / advertising through the use of biogradable papercup to increase ad exposure and engagement with consumers. Share Cup managed to beat other participants who this year not only followed by teams from Indonesia, but also abroad like Singapore, Australia, England, India, Holland and Germany.

    "Thank you to Telkom for providing us with various training that let us know our future steps.There are three things we learned: passion, hard work, and humbleness.Although we are champions, we still have to learn and continue to foster entrepreneur spirit." Steven Aditya.

    The second winner was awarded by the Travel Share Indonesia team which offers solutions for tourism in the form of volunteer platform in tourism development and the third winner is Markethub.id which has solutive idea for e-commerce field in the management of integrated marketplace.

    Telkom Director of Human Capital Management Herdy Harman said that as a State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in the digital telecommunication industry in Indonesia, since 2016 Telkom initiated an employer branding program to capture young talent of social and digital minded who put creativity and innovation in the form of concept business, product, social management, education or technology.

    "Through this SDL Program, Telkom hopes to give birth to a young generation with broad vision and has solutions to solve various social problems in Indonesia and even world problems, whether it is based on digital or non-digital solutions," said Herdy R. Harman.

    Herdy explained that the competition of SDL 2017 has wider coverage than SDL 2016.

    "SDL 2017 also penetrated into the economic, social, cultural, environmental, tourism and more. All the problems of our world community facilitate the solution, which is important the talent has a concept of problem solving is good and applicable, "explained Herdy.jo
