BANDUNG -West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan entrust humanitarian funds for Rohingya refugees to the institution of Rumah Zakat. Submission of funds was done after dawn prayer and regular recitation at the Al Mutaqin mosque Gedung Sate, Monday (18/9).
The Rp 2.1 billion fund was the result of a humanitarian fundraising for Rohingya refugees held last week.
"This is a form of awareness of West Java society for Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.Alhmdulillah through this humanitarian movement collected 2.1 billion fund that we leave today to Rumah Zakat as a member institution of the world's humanity community" he said.
According to Aher, such funds are obtained from the general public, West Java CSA and there are additional employees from BJB.
"This is mainly from the general public that we collect through various institutions, then on the streets, then there are also from among West Java CSA and the last addition from BJB employees" explained Aher.
Although already handed to Rumah Zakat, but fund raising next session according to Aher is still going on. (Even)
