    There are Three Main Pillars of Sharia Economic Development


    BANDUNG-Head of Bank Indonesia (BI) West Java (Jabar) Wiwiek Sisto Widyata said, there are Three Main Pillars of Sharia Economic Development in Indonesia which is the result of collaboration between Bank Indonesia, Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) and BAPPENAS.

    First, the Pillar of Sharia Economic Empowerment which focuses on the development of sharia business sector, through the strengthening of all groups of business actors, large, medium, small, micro, and Islamic educational institutions such as boarding schools and others.

    Secondly, the Pillar of In-Depth Sharia Financial Market reflects efforts to improve liquidity management and sharia financing, in order to support the development of Sharia business.

    Third, Pillars of Research Strengthening, Assessment and Education include socialization and communication aimed at the foundation for the availability of reliable, professional, and international competitive human resources.

    The three main pillars of the integrated strategy will be supported by international and regional syariah economic and financial policies, availability and readiness of human resources, data and information (including financial technology) and coordination and cooperation to ensure sustainable implementation.

    "Related to the First Pillar of Sharia Economic Empowerment, Representative Office of Bank Indonesia West Java Province together with the stakeholders has routinely implemented PUSPA Program (Assistance SME Syariah by Practitioners and Academics) since 2015," he explained.

    PUSPA program aims to provide micro business assistance based on sharia principles with companion of students who have been firstly supervised by academics and practitioners of Sharia economy and finance.

    In addition, the main pillar work program includes the development of halal supply chain, as well as its supporting institutions and infrastructure. Therefore, in the First Regional Java Java 2017, business matching is also held as a means to bring together the sharia economic actors to build halal supply chain in the Java region.

    Meanwhile, related to the third pillar, one potential that can be developed, among others through the channels of communities in the community, one of the potential to be developed is boarding. j
