BANDUNG - Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of West Java (West Java) noted an increase in the number of foreign tourists (tourists) who visited West Java in July 2017.
Head of West Java BPS, Dody Herlando said as many as 11.576 foreign tourists traveling to West Java through the entrance of Husein Sastranegara Airport.
"The number of foreign tourists in July 2017 was 48 percent higher than the volume of foreign tourists coming to West Java the previous month, although not the highest number of visits," he said.
In July 2017, the two countries still dominated the number of foreign tourists visiting Bandung, Malaysia totaling 7,340 people or 57 percent over the June period of 4,673, and Singapore growing 10 percent or 2,124.
Meanwhile, BPS noted that foreign tourists stay no longer than June 2017. During July, foreign tourists stay 3.73 days in star hotels and 1.52 days in non-star hotels. While the previous month, the average reached 4.82 days.
While nationally China is the most tourists who visit Indonesia, followed by Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan. jo
