BANDUNG-Pancasila Ideology Presidential Working Unit (UKP-PIP) held a festival of Indonesian achievement, no less than 72 netted names as recipients of grace from across sectors across Indonesia. One of the names is a researcher and inventor of technology that is the standard of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the world's highest body in charge of telecommunications worldwide, from Telkom University Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Khoirul Anwar.
UKP-PIP is a new work unit established by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, headed by Yudi Latief, a potential young intellectual owned by Indonesia. His workroom fostered and built the ideological awareness of Pancasila to become a platform of nationality, unity and progress.
The award of Indonesian achievement was the first time held, met in his busy life as director of technology research center of Advanced Wireless Technology (AdWITech) Telkom University, Dr. Eng. Khoirul is not surprised, as well as grateful for his efforts in contributing to Indonesia is seen as a proud achievement.
"For us, this is a gift given by God, the Lord of the universe, we are researching, looking for what might be beneficial to mankind, and this is a commitment as an academician, which is the result of the effort of thought can be felt by the whole nation" he said.
He added that the achievements that he achieved solely collective work, many parties who took part in the achievement of technology findings. "Although our names are listed, but research can not be produced by ourselves, there are small contributing teams, including supporting institutions, and research friends who are not tired" he said simply.
Dr. Eng. Khoirul is one of the Senior Member (SM) of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) owned by Indonesia. In Indonesia there are only 15 Indonesian researchers who are declared eligible as Senior Member of IEEE which its ratification is very tight for experience side and maturity of their respective profession. In Indonesia, according to data in August 2017, there are 1,547 IEEE members, which means that senior members are only 0.97% of the total IEEE members in Indonesia.
Dr. Eng. Khoirul confirmed as Senior Member of IEEE in Japan on July 2016 together with Dr. Tadashi Fukami in IEEE Nagoya Section. Throughout Japan in July 2016, only two of these are eligible to be appointed IEEE Senior Members. Career research Dr. Eng. Khoirul was forged in Japan, but his love for Indonesia brought him back and served for Indonesia at Telkom University.
Beginning his career, Khoirul Anwar worked as an Assistant Professor at Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), a Japanese university research university, and special for S2 and S3. At least, in Japan there are 2 colleges specifically for S2 and S3, namely JAIST and NAIST. JAIST is in Ishikawa and NAIST is in the city of Nara, the first capital of Japan.
Meanwhile, Rector of Telkom University appreciated and gave the highest appreciation for the achievement of the researcher in the environment of the University which he led, adding that researching is a tradition that will continue to be strengthened at ABEST21 international accredited university from Japan.
