SUMEDANG REGENCY-Health is the main investment and capital in order to live productive, happy and prosperous. Health degree is one of the most important elements in efforts to increase the Human Development Index (HDI). The 4 (four) main factors that determine the health status of environmental factors with the largest contribution of 45%, community behavior factor with a contribution of 30%. Furthermore, health service factor with contribution 20% and genetic factor with contribution 5%.
This was disclosed by Vice Governor of West Java, Deddy Mizwar in his speech at the signing ceremony MOU between West Java Regional General Hospital, West Java Health Office and Faculty of Medicine UNPAD about education, research, community service and heart health services on Monday (21/8) in the Hall Rectorate of UNPAD Jatinangor Sumedang.
Furthermore, Vice Governor explained that health development is aimed to reach an independent community for healthy living, in line with the global commitment to achieve the Millennium Development Goals target which is continued with Sustainable Development Goals. Along with that the ability of hospital services both on aspects of infrastructure and medical personnel should continue to be improved, he added.
Each year more than 36 million people worldwide die from non-communicable diseases, or 63% of all deaths, including cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease, heart failure, heart failure and stroke.
"The number of coronary heart patients in West Java based on doctor's diagnosis is 160 thousand people or 0.5% and this is the largest in Indonesia because the population of West Java itself a lot." Said Demiz greeting Vice Governor of West Java.
Therefore, West Java Provincial Government warmly welcomes and gives high appreciation to all related parties, who have established strategic cooperation in education, research, community service and heart health services.
The highest award given to the Faculty of Medicine UNPAD, RSHS Bandung and all hospitals in West Java for its contribution to the development of health in West Java, said Vice Governor.
Demiz witnessed the signing of the MoU between West Java Provincial Health Office, Central General Hospital dr. Hasan Sadikin, Faculty of Medicine UNPAD, Hospital Al-Hasan West Java Province, Cibabat Hospital Cimahi, Dr. Soekarjo Tasikmalaya city, Gunung Jati Hospital, Cirebon, Banjar and Sumedang.
