Demiz Confirms Meikarta Must Have Development Permit

BANDUNG-Vice Governor of West Java, Deddy Mizwar confirmed the construction of Meikarta in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency must have a development permit. Supposedly, the project initiated by Lippo Group has a development permit because it violates the West Java Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 12 of 2014 on Management of Development and Development of Metropolitan and Growth Center.

Moreover, the developer of Meikarta project has been marketing the existing facilities in new city candidates without the recommendation and permission from Provincial Government (Pemprov) of West Java.

"They should realize that licensing is a process that must be pursued," he told reporters after attending the West Java Youth Action Forum Discussion at Freddo Coffee, Merak Street, Bandung, Monday (14/8/2017).

Demiz greeting Vice Governor of West Java said the incident can happen anywhere. To that end, he appealed to the developer to pay attention to three government authorities that should not be violated.

"One does not exceed the authority, the second is a procedure that must be done well and the three is not added the substance. If the three things are done well then will survive in the legal path," he explained.

Demiz said, if violating the three authorities then there is the potential for corruption. "Who would take the risk? If it is me, I do not want to," he said.

He appealed to entrepreneurs to understand the attitude and position of the government that is bound by the rules. This means directly or indirectly the developer entrepreneurs must follow the rules set by the government. Problems will be given permission or not, later viewed in accordance with technical studies issued by the government.

"I am very objective, no need to see anyone because it has the same rights, if it is allowed, why allowed ?. It must be answered the reason," he concluded. (MAT)
