BANDUNG-Exhibition and world competition was held in Bandung from 3 to 7 August 2017 at Hotel Trans Bandung Jl. Gatot Subroto. At least 60 countries attended the event. Chairman of the Indonesian Philatelist Association, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Suyono said the exhibition and competition of philately was held in Bandung as the capital of Asia Africa.
"It is not without reason to be held in Bandung, because Bandung is the capital of Asia Africa, this is the second time the event is held in Bandung after 1996 for teenage level," he said on Thursday (3/8).
The Philatelic Exhibition and Competition or 'World Stamp Exhibition' presents more than 450 stamp collections from around the world.
"There are about 455 exhibition materials and placed in special panels imported from Thailand," he explained.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by Minister of Communication and Informatics Rudiantara, Vice Governor of West Java Deddy Mizwar and Mayor of Bandung Ridwan Kamil.
