BANDUNG-As a financial services company for SMEs, Modalku plans to develop SMEs in Bandung. Modalku owner, Iwan Kurniawan said, since its presence in Bandung in January 2017, more than Rp 200 billion has been channeled to 400 existing SMEs.
"The growth of SMEs in West Java is quite good so they are still potential to continue to grow, but the problem of capital becomes an obstacle when applying for loans to banks because they have to use a guarantee that most of them are not owned by SMEs," he said.
For this reason my Capital is present in Bandung because of SME loan without collateral or guarantee so as to facilitate SMEs. According to Iwan, Modalku which has received permission from OJK now has an internet application to simplify the loan process.
"Yes, with this application, the loan application process is easier and faster, at least to meet administrative requirements, while surveys and business feasibility are done directly to the field," he explained.
In Indonesia and some Asian countries Modalku has been lending more than Rp 600 billion. (Pun)
