BANDUNG-Each member city of UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) is challenged to be able to exploit the creative potential of each in its network including the city of Bandung.
Chairman of Bandung Creative City Forum (BCCF), Fiki Satari said creative cooperation with British Council and several cities in Scotland is a plus for Bandung in its position as UNESCO City of Design.
"UNESCO challenged the city of Bandung to show its creative potential, aiming to improve the welfare," he told reporters in Bandung, Tuesday (1/8/2017)
According to Fiki, the Letter of Intens (LoI) collaboration is important as one of the opening channels of the wider collaboration, because Scotland has 3 UCCN member cities, namely Glasgow City Music, Edinburgh City Literature,
and Dundee City Design.
"Collaboration among cross-creative creative nationals of this kind, supported by visionary government," he said.
Fiki, who is also Chairman of Bandung City Dossier Management Team for UCCN added, will further enrich the initiative opportunities of citizens and communities in addressing various local-scale problems independently.
The Letter of Intent between the British Council and Cities in Scotland with the BCCF contains
each party's commitment to building collaboration in the creative industries, especially those related
to Design, Creative City, Creative Technology, Creative Entrepreneurship and Creative Node.
