BANDUNG - As airport management in western Indonesia, PT. Angkasa Pura II ready to conduct cooperation and assist PT Bandara International Jawa Barat [BIJB] Kertajati in Majalengka district.
According to West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher), the existence of PT. AP II will provide benefits for BIJB Kertajati’s future development.
"In general, the option of cooperation is open due to the presence of PT. AP II. It would be useful to ensure the sustainability of BIJB. The kind of cooperation will submit to both management (BIJB and AP II). There will be further meetings to agree on cooperation in detail,” said Aher after the meeting with the Board of Directors PT. AP II in Gedung Sate, Bandung, on Wednesday (30/12).
Aher said the stage of BIJB Kertajati’s development has still being continued and there is no delay in the process. Meanwhile, when asked about the groundbreaking, Aher claimed his parties still waiting for the President’s schedule.
“The groundbreaking necessarily waiting for Mr. President. Hopefully in January, but it depends on the schedule of President,” said Aher.
Meanwhile, President Director of PT. Angkasa Pura II Budi Karya Sumadi said it remains committed to assist and cooperation in the development of BIJB Kertajati.
"We're as one partners that would be involved. We will look at the process happened,” said Budi told the media crew.
BIJB Kertajati attract many investors, both domestic and foreign. At the stage of market sounding, there were 40 companies who are interested to invest, including companies from Turkey, Germany, Qatar, China, Korea, and Switzerland.
