BANDUNG- Indonesia Tourism growth in the first semester 2017 rose to 20%, outperformed Malaysia and other neighboring countries. This was revealed by Nia Niscahya, Director of Foreign Marketing (Europe, America and Middle East) Ministry of Indoneisa Tourism in Bandung on Tuesday (18/7), at the Special Congress of the Articles of Association and Bylaws(AD/ART) Association of the Indonesian Tours And Travel Agencies (Asita)
"Alhamdulillah, up 20 percent until the middle of this year, and succed to outperforme Malaysia and even Vietnam," he said.
But according to Nia, there is still much to be fixed in the world of tourism in Indonesia to attract more visitors, especially foreign visitors.
"The improvements are about the price of cruise ship dock that is considered too expensive and different from other countries, then mapping system cruise ship travel route is still in print, whereas other countries are already in digital," he explained.
Nia also explained that the Ministry of Tourism always coordinate with other Ministries to encourage the world of tourism such as the Ministry of Public Works, Labor and others. (Pun)
