BANDUNG-PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) will provide rates that compete with terrestrial logistics modes to improve the container transport segment at Gedebage Station.
It was said by John Roberto, Corporate Deputy Director of Freight Marketing and Sales of PT KAI (Persero) Logistic, at Hotel Shakti, Jalan Soekarno Hatta Bandung, Wednesday (12/7).

PT KAI intends to restore the terminal function, which since January 2017, the status of Temporary Stockpiling Terminal (TPS) became a dry port as it was first present in 1987.
"We want to restore the function and status of the Gedebage as a dry port as it was in its initial presence in 1987. The goal is to turn on the carriage of freight trains that drop after the presence of several toll roads," said John.
During this time, there are some things that become constraints freight transport and logistics train that is the price and departure schedule.
"Concerning the price, we are ready to cut it to the maximum amount of trucking, which means it does not exceed the transportation price by truck," said John.
While about the schedule of departure, John said it is ready to meet the needs of consumers. It has 6 series of freight trains that are ready to operate every day. So far it only operates 1 series every 3 days per week. Jo
