    Police Urges Anti-Terrorism Act Soon Finished


    BANDUNG-Head of Public Relations of West Java Police, Pol Kombes Yusri Yunus said in the completion of the most important act of terrorism it requested that the government and the House of Representatives (DPR) RI to immediately complete the Anti-Terrorism Act (UU).

    According to him, the law facilitates the security apparatus to prevent the acts of terrorism.

    "We appeal to the Pansus team to immediately revise the Anti-Terrorism Act so that we will move immediately," he told reporters in Bandung, Tuesday (07/11/2017).

    He pointed out in Bogor there is military training using wood as a weapon. The police have not been able to take action because it is not certain these activities lead to acts of terrorism.

    "Can the police arrest them? But if there is a revision of this new law we can secure it immediately, right now it can not," he said.

    Including if people buy chemicals. The police can not take action because there is no clear regulation yet.

    "Including the purchase of chemicals, may not we secure ?. Here are some examples that we submitted to the Pansus team until this moment has not been approved," he added.

    According to him, the insistence on the settlement of the Anti-Terrorism Act is not only from the police department even the President appealed to the same.

    "Police, political observers and even the President has urged the Pansus team to immediately complete the Act," he concluded. (MAT)
