BANDUNG-Foreign exchange business activities or KUPVA in the area of West Java Bank Indonesia (BI) which has officially reached 36 locations now.
Head of West Java BI Representative, Wiwek Sisto said the amount is already official counted but will likely to increase because there are some that still in the licensing process.
"There is one that is currently in process. if officially allowed means, there are 37 official KUPVA point in West Java," he said.
He added the issue of rupiah that did not applicable abroad is because the rupiah is not international money. Rupiah must be redeemed first to international money or foreign currency.
"Rupiah is used in Indonesia, overseas it must be exchanged. It is not applicable because it is not international money. the understanding must be critical, "he said.
He said many rupiah exchange locations abroad, but usually in the country which visited frequently, such as Saudi Arabia for being a pilgrim destination. Jo
