BANDUNG - Bank Indonesia (BI) West Java's survey of business activities in second quarter 2017 indicated a growth of business 18.31%, higher than the previous quarter's that is 15.69%.
The economic growth of West Java is supported by the growth of trade , hotels, and restaurants sector as well as agriculture, forestry and fisheries. In addition, the growth is also supported by the consumption of the society which is seen from the results of retail sales survey.
Head of West Java BI , Wiwiek Sisto Widayat said the survey was conducted from business interviews of 44 companies from various sectors.
"The result shows that the performance of domestic sales is increasing driven by high sales, increased selling prices and new product development that is very well received in the market," he said on Friday (7/7) at the Press Conference "Latest Macroeconomic Indicator Progress" at Representative Office Bank Indonesia West Java Province.
BI also mentiones export performance increased mainly driven by high demand for the Middle East and the addition of export markets in several Asian and European countries. Jo
