BANDUNG REGENCY-Different from previous years, most passengers along Nagreg region on the D-1 of Eid Al-Fitr 1438 H tracked smoothly even free from vehicles. Usually D-1 is the peak of the homecoming flow and there are even travellers who are stretched on the road due to congestion up to dozens of kilometers.
It was appreciated by Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi who is conducting a direct review of flow back and forth to the Post Master Nagreg Bandung regency, Saturday (24/06/2017).
"D-1 Alhamdulillah perhaps the first time in Nagreg flow smoothly, this is a good cooperation, I appreciate the West Java Provincial Government and the Head of Transportation Department who are working optimally," said the Minister of Transportation.
Minister of Transportation Budi Karya the time of the review, accompanied by Vice Governor of West Java Deddy Mizwar, Head of West Java Transportation Department and Head of Bandung District Transportation Department, said their team deliberately do a direct review of homecoming in Nagreg since received reports that the D-2 was observed in the region of Nagreg to Malangbong experiencing severe congestion.
"I go to Nagreg because I got a report that in the D-2 was jammed and from the data that I had seen there are 154 thousand vehicles passing through," he said.
The Minister of Transportation hopes that the smooth flow of homecoming in Nagreg will be repeated in the coming years.
"Furthermore we will examine what is happening in Nagreg and we are eager for years to come with no more congestion at Nagreg," he hoped.
He said that although the provincial government is building two new toll roads which are toll Cisumdawu and Cigatas, but the central government will also continue to improve the national arterial road from Bandung to the eastern part of the West Java region.
"Although the local government is planning to build a toll road but the national road here will still be considered as a means of transportation from Bandung to the eastern part of West Java," he said.
