BANDUNG-West Java Provincial Government together with PT Jabar Bersih Lestari signed a joint contract for the construction of Waste Processing and Processing Site (TPPAS) Regional Lulut Nambo (Luna) in Bogor Regency. The signing was done directly by West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) and President Director of PT Jabar Bersih Lestari Doyun Yu in Papandayan Room Gedung Sate, Diponegoro Street No. 22, Bandung, Wednesday (21/6/17).
The work scheme implemented in this project is the Cooperation of Government and Business Entity (KPBU). PT Jabar Bersih Lestari is the winner of a tender formed by a consortium for the procurement of waste management infrastructure. Luna Waste Processing and Processing Site collects garbage from the people of Bogor Regency and City and Depok City with a population of nearly 9 million people.
After the signing of the contract, West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) said that through this contract then officially the construction of Luna Waste Processing and Processing Site will soon be done. This became the first in West Java Waste Processing and Processing Site was built with the scheme of Government Cooperation and Business Entity.
Nambo Waste Processing and Processing Site will produce dry waste or RDF which will fuel cement making. Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) is a dry waste from waste separation in the form of combustible waste materials such as plastic and other combustible materials.
The process at Nambo is simpler and lower cost. PT Indocement will become the consumer of fuel produced by Luna Waste Processing and Processing Site. "The technology that runs will do the final waste processing. Then the result is RDF or dry waste. Later it will be bought by Indocement which will become the fuel of cement making, "said Aher.
If within the next six months this project does not work then this contract will be terminated. However, Aher believes this project will continue because in this consortium there has been a working capital of 30% or approximately Rp 180 Billion of total budget required Rp 600 Billion for the construction of Luna Waste Processing and Processing Site.
Although there will be Luna Waste Processing and Processing Site as well Legok Nangka Waste Processing and Processing Site, Aher still encourages districts / cities in West Java to have Waste Processing and Processing Site independently. "Of course at the same time we encourage regents / mayors to prepare their respective waste treatment sites. Because in the Act on waste, waste is obligatory districts / cities. Preferred provincial affairs. So the province (Provincial Government) has done to do this, regency / city obligatory. So roughly, "said Aher.
Types of waste processing technology to be applied by Luna Waste Processing and Processing Site mechanically and biologically. This means that this technology will process waste into solid fuel or RDF that can be used as a substitute for coal for the cement industry or power plant. This technology has a waste capacity of 1,500 to 1,800 tons per day.
