    The Christmas Peak Load Predicted to Decline


    BANDUNG - Facing of Christmas 2015, PT. PLN West Java Distribution has implemented a standby ensure supply so that there will be no power outage.

    General Manager of PT PLN West Java Distribution, Iwan Purwana said during the Christmas peak load predicted would be decrease compared on normal days.

    "The Christmas peak load is expected around 6,574 MW, while for a ordinary day ranges between 6,405-8,112 MW," he said.

    However, according to Iwan, the peak load of 6,574 MW, will slightly up from the burden of Christmas 2014, which reaching of 6,512 MW.

    Meanwhile, to maintain the reliability of power supply it has taken various measures, including setting up the clerk, readiness transformer car, preparing post standby and technical service vehicles.

    "We prepare 3,686 personnel, 434 technical service vehicles, 58 mobile transformer unit, 23 units of cranes, 10 intrusion detection units and 122 units generator with a capacity of 1.3 s/d 175 kVA.
