    West Java Provincial Government Sharpen Cooperation With 11 Countries


    BANDUNG - Entering the middle of 2017, West Java Provincial Government recorded has established cooperation in various fields with 11 states from 8 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

    Of the 11 states, five of them have been formed by Sister Province cooperation with South Australia, Chongqing Metropolitan City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Shichuan Province and Heilongjiang Province of the People's Republic of China.

    Furthermore, four states of Khartoum (Sudan), Souss Massa Region (Morocco), Shizouka Prefecture (Japan) and the Wallonia Region (Belgium) have formed Letter Of Intent (LOI) cooperation which will soon be upgraded to Sister Province. In the near future West Java provincial government will also explore cooperation with Incheon (South Korea) and Bashkortostan (Russia).

    After meeting on the plan of cooperation of West Java provincial government and the discussion of work plan, in Sanggabuana conference room Gedung Sate Bandung, Friday (16/06/2017), West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) revealed, it does not want cooperation stop only in signature Alone, be it to Sister Province or LOI but in real form.

    "We want to realize the real cooperation of at least one type of cooperation before opening another cooperation," said Aher.

    Because according to him, if a cooperation has been implemented will open up opportunities for cooperation wider.

    "Because if it opens up a lot of cooperation and broad, we specify with what Sudan used to be with Morocco what used to be for example," he said.

    As it is known, West Java provincial government a few months ago has made a work visit related to cooperation to the country of Morocco, China and Australia.

    Potential fields that have been co-operated include education, expansion, export development, tourism, investment, marine and fisheries, competency apparatus development, research, development and application of science and technology, youth and sports, transportation, cooperatives and information technology.

    In a meeting attended by a number of Heads of West Java provincial government department, in addition to determining what areas will be prioritized, the meeting also formed a special team.

    "This meeting is one of agenda to determine with regional organization device what cooperation we will take, the second to make a special team. Communication is also not necessarily with visits but can be through the internet media, the visit was done if it is real," said Aher
