    Governor Banned Official Cars are Used for Homecoming


    BANDUNG-West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher), in accordance with the instruction of the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN and RB) Asman Abnur, prohibits the use of official cars for Idul Fitri.

    "Every year I am asked about this matter and this year the answer has been answered first by the Minister, so related to the official cars, the appeal is the same as the Minister, we follow it," said Governor Ahmad Heryawan, at Gedung Sate Bandung, Wednesday (14 / 06/2017).

    Aher said if there are still Civil Servants (PNS) who still use official cars for going home, of course there will be sanctions both moral sanctions and administrative sanctions.

    "The moral sanction is, of course, the embarrassment in using official cars, we have to be able to differentiate, separate where for business affairs, which is personal affairs," he asserted.

    Previously, the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Asman Abnur prohibits official cars used for the purposes of Idul Fitri. This provision is stipulated in Regulation of the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucracy Reform (PANRB) no. 87/2005 on Guidelines for Improving the Implementation of Efficiency, Saving and Work Discipline. "Operational official vehicles are only used for the purposes of the department that supports the main tasks and functions," said Asman confirmed.

    Therefore, the Minister warned that as long as the civil servant apparatus officials (ASN) obey the rules. "official cars should not be used for personal, especially for homecoming during Lebaran holidays," he said in the Public Relations release of Indonesia Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry.

    Added that the use of operational vehicles is limited on working days, and it is used within the city. "If government agencies have pick-ups bus, they might be used. But it must be with written permission from the head of government agencies where civil servant works or officials who are assigned according to competence, "he added.

    On that occasion Asman also said that for the benefit of Lebaran homecoming, a number of government agencies, state-owned or private provide lots of vehicle facilities for homecoming. In addition, the government also provides 14th salary or Holiday Allowances, so that civil servants are quite helped by the additional funds in the face of Idul Fitri.

    Reminded that employees who use official vehicles for homecoming without permission will be given sanctions as there is regulated PP. 53/2010 on Civil Government Discipline. This sanction also applies to civil servants who missed on the first day of work after together leave with Lebaran.
