BANDUNG - In the next 2016 the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) was asked to be able realising the rice procurement for the purposes of food reserves as many as 4 million tons.
This was stated by Director Procurement of Bulog, Wahyu in front of Bulog’s stakeholders in West Java.
"The president requested that Bulog could hold as many as 4 million tons of rice, so that I for our cooperation,” he said in Bandung on Monday (21/12)
At the same place, Head of Bulog Regional Division West Java Alip Affandi, said that in his working areas, it gets targeted of rice absorption more than in 2015, which is as many as 550 thousand tons.
"Next year, it will up to 650 thousand tons," added Alip.
He stated that he is optimistic to meet the target of 650 thousand tons set by the government. He was sure that West Java had the ability to do so.
In order to reach the target, it set a variety of strategies, such as increase synergy with partners. "One of them, through the signing a deal with about 200-300 stakeholders in West Java," he concluded.
