BANDUNG-West Java Police Chief, Inspector General Anton Charliyan ensures supply needs in West Java fairly safe. The scarcity is caused by food distribution delays. For that, his side appealed to the public to not worry because nationally food supply during Ramadan and Idul Fitri is fairly safe.
"Most importantly, people do not have to worry about the availability of food because nationally it is very sufficient. Perhaps during this time there is only delay in distribution," he told reporters in Bandung, Monday (5/6/2017)
Anton explained in addition to food tasks, in order to maintain price stability Provincial Government (Pemprov) of West Java also act in a preventive and repressive by conducting cheap market operations (OPM) throughout the West Java region.
"Even now the local government is also doing monitoring, so hopefully in West Java the price will remain stable," he said.
Anton affirmed the Food task of West Java Police until now has not found the stockpiling of nine basic materials (sembako) because the action is not so influential given the prices of basic foods was quite stable.
"Until now, we have not found the action or the perpetrators of hoarding because it is useless to do the hoarding, the prices are quite stable, if dumped it can lose," he said.
Anton admitted some distributors were declared will release the product and decided to sell it quickly in order to sell in the market.
"A lot of distributors who come to me better to sell now the product because if later stored the goods not sell," he concluded. (MAT)
