BANDUNG-West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) requested the Annual Members Meeting (RAT) of Indonesian National Sports Council's (KONI) West Java could formulate program "Jabar Kahiji" or the general champion in the PON XIX/2016 in West Java. Aher disclosed it at the opening of RAT KONI at Grand Aquila Hotel, Bandung on Friday night (18/12).
In his speech, Aher hoped through the RAT KONI West Java could formulate concrete measures in the framework of West Java being the champion on PON XIX 2016. According to Aher, it is not solely for the achievement but also form of responsibility to the people in West Java.
"At 2016, West Java will became the organiser of PON, then we required to carry out all the series of PON competition well done. But it must be remembered that public want to have the most decisive success becoming West Java Kahiji on PON,” said Aher in his speech.
“Therefore the KONI Annual Member Meeting 2015 of West Java should formulate the concrete steps in order to reach the general champion on PON XIX,” urged Aher.
Aher also wanted the sport will becomes pride for Indonesia people in the eyes of the world. So that he also hoped that PON XIX will build a spirit and point of revival national sport.
West Java provincial government itself has allocated Rp 340 billion more for the West Java KONI, so that ‘Jabar Kahiji' program can be realised in the coming PON.
RAT KONI West Java will take place on 18 to 19 December 2015. It was also attended by Chairman of the West Java Parliament, Secretary of West Java Province, Chairman of West Java KONI, representatives of the Central Sports Committee, Chairman of West Java PERWOSI (the Indonesian Association of Physical Education and Sports for Girls and Women), Chairman of KONI in Regency/City Java West, 52 sports provincial government, 7 functional division, 90 West Java KONI, and the official delegation.
On this occasion, also given several awards to the sports figures, community leaders, and athletes. In this year, West Java KONI awarded an award to West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan as Trustees Sports/Community Leader.
