BANDUNG - Vice Governor of West Java Deddy Mizwar said that public have a big expectation to the new Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) leaders to continue resistance against corruption.
This agency now headed by the former Head of the Policy Institute for Procurement of Goods and Services (LKPP) Agus Raharjo. While the other four KPK commissioners are elected is Ad hoc judge of Corruption Court of Central Jakarta Alexander Marwata, Head Advisor of State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Saut Situmorang, Police General Inspector Basariah Panjaitan and Lecturer at the Faculty of Law at University of Hasanuddin Laode Muhammad Sharif.
"Whoever elected must have been through a rigorous selection process," said Deddy.
According to him, many people put a hope to the commission leaders. Therefore, he hopes the new KPK leaders can give their best performance preventing and eradicating acts of corruption in Indonesia.
Deddy admitted that he knew none of KPK leaders. Nevertheless, he was optimistic that the five leaders of KPK is best among the best.
