    Welcomes the King of Sweden, Aher Explains World Class University & Stadium in West Java


    Bandung-West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) welcomed the arrival of King and Queen of Sweden, His Royal Highness Carl XVI Gustaf and Her Majesty Queen Silvia at Railway Station, Stasiun Selatan Street No. 25, Bandung, Wednesday (24/5/17). King and Queen of Sweden are in Bandung for half a day and are scheduled to visit some icons of Bandung.

    "The vehicle used here (Bandung) is also a train, maybe because they want to see the scenery from Jakarta to Bandung.He (King Carl) said the nature is hilly, the mountains, and meandering. Many rice fields also," said Aher after welcome The arrival of the Sweden King and Queen.

    On this occasion, Aher who also accompanied by his wife, Netty Prasetiyani Heryawan, had talked about the potential of higher education or universities and sports facilities in West Java, especially stadiums. Aher told King Carl, West Java has several world-class universities.

    "I said earlier, here (West Java) many big universities, there are even some World Class University in West Java, I mentioned earlier such as ITB, Unpad, IPB," said Aher.

    King Carl also had time to ask Aher about sports facilities, especially stadiums in West Java. Aher said West Java has five international standard stadiums in five regions.

    "He (King Carl) said the stadium, we have GBLA and Jalak Harupat stadium.In other places as well.There are five in Bekasi, two in Bogor, and two in Bandung," said Aher to King Carl.

    Unlike the King Carl, the Queen was captivated by the natural beauty of West Java which is dominated by a vast expanse of rice fields. Netty also had time to tell about West Java as the province's largest rice supplier in Indonesia to Queen Silvia.

    "The Queen Silvia said that along the way (Jakarta-Bandung) she saw the rice field, I said that the common sight in West Java is rice field, mostly rice come from West Java," said Netty to Queen Silvia.

    King Carl and Queen Silvia from the Kingdom of Sweden were in Bandung until Wednesday afternoon. King and Queen is scheduled to meet with Bobotoh or Viking Persib in the Square of Bandung.
