    Governor Inaugurates Village Electricity Program in Sumedang


    SUMEDANG-West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan inaugurated Village Electricity Program (Polides in 2015) at Sukatali Field, Situradja district, Sumedang, on Wednesday (16/12).

    The inauguration was marked by keystrokes siren by the Governor which accompanied by Head of West Java Parliament, Ine Purwadewi, Vice Regent of Sumedang, officials from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

    There are 5,700 homes get electricity in West Java and it’s given symbolically to six residents of the district representatives including Sukatali village, Situradja district, Sumedang.

    West Java Governor in his speech explained that the achievement of Polides electrification in 2015 reached 92.14%. If calculated from the achievement of electrification in 2008 amounted to 64.22%, then in 2015, there was an increase of 27.9%.

    “I want that in the end of my tenure as governor in 2018 could reach 100%. This means that there are remaining 7, 8%, and if divided for three years, then annually should reach of 2.6% in the Electrification Ratio. Insya Allah, it could be achieved,” said the governor.

    Governor asked to the recipients of village electricity program to utilise the electricity in a productive ways which can increase their income.

    Ine Purwadewi Sundari appreciates the achievement of 92.14% electrification ratio. She hopes this achievement was real like in the field condition. Because she often received complaints from public about the obtaining of village electricity program. In her opinion, it thus due to lack of socialisation.

    The achievement rates of 100% in three years, Ine invites executives to discuss, especially about the citizen data availability who had previously received assistance of this program.

    After the official ceremony, the Governor and Head of West Java Parliament reviewing one of the homes that receive this assistance.
