BANDUNG - Vice Governor of West Java, Deddy Mizwar appreciates the convening of Communications and Information Technology (Kominfo) Award 2015 by Department of Communications and Information Technology West Java Province. It can improve the performance of local government performance through information technology application.
It thus stated Deddy Mizwar while giving a speech in this event which took place at Golden Flower Hotel, Monday (14/12) night.
According to Deddy Mizwar, in order to support the acceleration of Government's performance, especially the implementation of development programs, the role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is very important and strategic. Through the ICT’s role, it can increase transparency and improved public services.
ICT can unify the various sectors among agencies within the provincial government and local governments, so that the performance and service will be faster and increase.
Currently, the West Java Provincial Government has been rated as digital-based, as the program “Jabar-Cyber Province". West Java has received various national awards in the field of ICT, such as LPSE, websites and other information systems. So therefore, it should be a spur to improve performance, especially in the improvement of public services.
“Nevertheless, I hope that the information must be up to the villages in West Java, as well as for productivity of agriculture. Rural farming communities are in need correct information about grain and rice price, so that the role of digital technology can be quickly disperse the information for farmers to avoid middlemen,” says governor.
Vice Governor handed various awards to parties who have received these Kominfo Awards. "Hopefully it becomes a catalyst for performance improvement,” he hoped.
Head of Department Communication and Informatics West Java Province, Dudi Sudrajat argued about Kominfo Awards. Kominfo Award is aimed to advance ICT in West Java towards Jabar-Cyber ??Province. “Insya Allah, Kominfo Award will be annually routine agenda,” he said.
Various awards are given to West Java OPD in website category, photo contest. The assessment of the postal services company, best local governments in the provision of information from the Regional Information Commission (KPID), etc. The various awards was directly delivered by the Vice Governor of West Java.
