BANDUNG–Regional Office of National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BBPOM) of Bandung enforced the President Instructions (Inpres) No. 3 Year 2017 regarding the Improvement of Effectiveness of Drug and Food Control to a number of relevant stakeholders.
This Inpres is a form of strengthening the coordination of supervision BBPOM with other parties to discipline, supervise and crack down on business activities related to illegal drugs and food.
The Head of National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM), Penny Lukito, said that there are 12 parties related with the coordination of drug and food control, including 9 ministries, BBPOM, and the Governor, Regents and Mayors.
"We coordinate to jointly combat illegal drug and food circulation in Indonesia," she said in Bandung, Friday (21/4/2017).
Penny said the circulation of illegal food and drugs is very dangerous if they are consumed by the community. In addition to disturbing human quality, especially health, this circulation is also detrimental economically. jo
