BANDUNG-The problem of food security must be comprehensive to realize real independence of food security.
This is expressed by West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan after attending the inauguration of IPB Alumni Association at Gedung Sate, on Friday (14/4).
"The problem of food security should be taken care of from the upstream to downstream in order to realize self-sufficiency of food security. If only focus on the little problems then the real problem is that we constantly rely on imports" she explained.
Governor wished that the graduates or IPB alumni who work in government and private sectors would think of it.
"I do not forbid if IPB graduates work outside of their expertise, but it would be better if their scientific discipline is used in their field" said Aher.
IPB HA inauguration was also attended by Chairman of District Municipality of West Java, Ike Dewi Sartika, and Vice-Rector. (Pun)
