    The Buy and Share Programme to Help a Bajigur Seller


    CIMAHI-Rumah Zakat (RZ) reenacted the Buy and Share programme for small traders. In this ocassion, the Buy and Share programme was given to Abah Roi, a bajigur seller in CImahi. According to a volunteer of RZ Cimahi, Husnul, after buy up Abah Roi's merchandise, the volunteers shared the bajigur to the orphans and unpriviledged children in Insan Kamil orphanage, Cihanjuan street, Cimahi.

    "Abah Roi has been selling bajigur since 1970, he had stopped for a while because he suffered kidney disease. After that, he returned until now to get living expenses for him and his wife," said Husnul, Thursday (23/3).

    Abah Roi who is 84 years old now, admitted that the profit that he earned is not much. Together with his wife, Abah Roi starts to sell the bajigur from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. everyday. If his merchandise is not sold out, he will share it to the neighbours.

    "Thank you for everyone to ease Abah's work. So Abah can go home early today. I hope all this kindness will be repaid by God," said Abah Roi.

    According to RZ, Rumah Zakat had also done the Buy and Share programme in several cities such as Makassar, Surabaya, Medan, Yogyakarta and other cities. Through this programme, RZ committed to keep easing any small trader in Indonesia. (Pun)
