BANDUNG-The provider of financial technology lending online, uangteman.com had targeted the distribution of loans for about IDR 100 billion for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (UMKM) until the end of 2017.
The Head of Public Relation of Uangteman, Rimba Laut explained that until now there were 5,000 active customers that had borrow loans from them in several areas such as Jabodetabek, Bandung, Denpasar, Yogjakarta, Solo, Semarang, Surabaya, Makasar, Palembang,Jambi, and Lampung.
His parties had targeted 10% to 20% was contribution from Bandung city. Since the internet networking activities in Bandung had high traffic than other cities.
"We have targeted IDR 100 billion of loans can be used by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise," he said to the reporters in Bandung, Thursday (3/23/2017).
The network of Uangteman had recently chose Bandung as the next area to be developed. It happened since Bandung had high UMKM growth. It was considered suitable with the customers that Uangteman had in the area of Jakarta.
Rimba said that until now the circulation of money had reached IDR 35 billion in 2016 with some additional new cities.
"In the next April, we will spread our network in 15 new areas especially outside Java island," he said.
The application that focused on the sector of Technology Financial was dominated by the customers of productive funds or UMKM from micro level and for the needs of health services, each of them was about 30%. Meanwhile, for the needs of education was about 20%, and the rest was for consumption.
Rimba explained that the loans that had given was in range of IDR 1 to 4 million without a warranty. While the distribution of IDR 35 billion loans in 2016 was a result from 30% customers that were passed the verification from Uangteman.
"From 5,000 customers, some of them have borrowed several times and become active customers that have a risk of repayment standstill. Until recently, we only have under 3% the problem of repayment standstill," he said.
According to him, the requirement to borrow loans, a candidate of customer only needs to provide his identity letter and a photo. After that, Uangteman will verify the candidate in algorithm system, so that the checking process of a face and an identity will be searched from many social media on the internet.
While, the system of loans payment, he continued, the customers could chose the range of time to pay loans which were 10, 20, and 30 days.
If a customer has already borrowed, he will be charged with service tax for 1% per day. If a customer is often borrow the loans, then the service tax will be reduced and it becomes 0.75% per day. The service tax is available during the loans period.
"If they pass the period or they are late to pay the loan, then Uangteman will not charge them with additional fee," he said.
During the process of transferring loans, Rimba revealed that it only needed one to two days to any bank since the candidate of loan customer had passed the verification.
"Now, we are developing the loan process and money transfer which only needs 15 minutes," he concluded.
