    The Chairperson of People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Urged Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) to Make Fair Judgment in Solving E-Id Corruption Case


    BANDUNG-The case of e-Id corruption had inflicted a financial loss to the state up to 2.3 trillion rupiah. Several state officials including the member of House of Representatives (DPR) are also involved in the case.

    In respond, the Chairman of MPR, Zulkifli Hasan, urged KPK to investigate the suspects equitably.

    "We always support KPK in solving the case of e-Id corruption, we hope they can make a fair judgment," he emphasised in front of journalist in BAndung, Thursday (16/3).

    The indicator of refund by several state officials, said Zulkifli was entirely according to the law process. "Regarding the refund by the involved state officials, we must obey the law process," he said.

    Meanwhile, in his working visit to Bandung city, he became the keynote speaker in Entrepreneurship Workshop that was held by Student Executive Board of Indonesia University of Computer (UNIKOM).

    The Chairperson of MPR encouraged university to create entrepreneurs generation who dare to provide employment, not searching for jobs. "The discrepancy can be reduced by the appearance of a lot of young entrepreneurs," he explained.

    Zulkifli added that 18 years after reformation, the discrepancy is still high. In accordance with the data from Oxfam, 4 richest people in Indonesia, each of their wealths is equal to 100 million poorest group.

    "It has to be the concern of the students to join entrepreneurship, provide employment to reduce the discrepancy," he said. (MAT)
