    Research and Technology Minister: Unpad Pangandaran Must Prioritize Locals


    PANGANDARAN - Minister of Research and Higher Education Technology (Menristekdikti) Muhammad Nasir Urged UNPAD Rector to prioritze the local candidates to be accepted in UNPAD Pangandaran.

    It was voiced by Muhammad Nasir after signing the MoU with the Governor of West Java and Pangandaran Regent on the development of Padjadjaran University campus in Pangandaran, on Monday (13/3).

    "UNPAD must prioritize our local people here, do not yet accept students from other cities. It is precisely the reason we established Padjadjaran University campus here as it aims to provide opportunities for our local people to achieve higher education" he said.

    Menristekdikti also mentioned the poor students must also be given an equal opportunity to study at the campus of Unpad Pangandaran.

    "We will manage it through Bidik Misi scholarship that we have long run. So the regional government of Pangandaran and UNPAD are expected to continue to encourage and select the prospective students for Bidik Misi" he explained.

    Menristekdikti, Menpora, Governor of West Java, Pangandaran Regent and PT Bio Farma signed a memorandum of understanding on the development of higher education outside the main campusese: IPB campus in Sukabumi and Unpad campus in Pangandara. (Even)
