BANDUNG- The regional development planning must give significant effect on the citizens' prosperity. Therefore, it can be ensured that the development program runs properly and as optimum as possible.
Vice Governor of West Java, Deddy Mizwar (Demiz) said there are three sectors of citizens' prosperity in which the Government must devote their attention: education, economy, and health.
"The real edge is about how to optimize the well-prepared planning and to make it go straight to the citizens' prosperity," said Deddy to the reporters after welcoming the juries of Pangripta Nusantara Award 2017 at the Bappeda Office of West Java, Bandung, Friday (03/10).
Pangripta Nusantara Award is a form of appreciation from the Central Government in which in this case is Bappenas, to the regional government both in the level of province and regency/city that has an excellent development planning for one year.
Deddy emphasized that creating prosperous citizens' is the ultimate goal of the government. On the other hand, if the citizens become prosperous, the accountability in the governance can be proven.
"There is imbalance if one region wins the highest award in the planning sector but doesn't get a high score in accountability," said Deddy.
Pangripta Nusantara Award 2016 in the category of province with the best development planning was won by DKI Jakarta. The second and the third place was achieved by West Java and East Java respectively. (Pun)
