    West Java Governor Hands Vehicles Assistance for the Simultaneous Election


    BANDUNG-To support the implementation of Simultaneous Election 2015 in West Java, especially in terms of security, West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan submit grant operational vehicles for local elections in West Java. A symbolic handover took place in Pakuan Building, Bandung on Friday morning (4/12).

    Governor handed 650 unit vehicles, which is 600 units of two-wheeled vehicles and 50 units of four-wheeled vehicles. The Military Command III/Siliwangi assistance of 200 units of two-wheeled vehicles, Military District Jayakarta of 100 units, and 200 units for West Java Police, and 100 units for Polda Metro Jaya.

    This assistance vehicles aimed so that the security apparatus can perform monitoring and evaluation in order to safeguard the elections in West Java.

    In addition, 50 units of four-wheeled vehicles such as mini bus and ambulance given to PMI West Java, Bandung Banceuy prisons, Society Young Generation of Siliwangi West Java, several Foundations in Bandung, Depok and Bogor, organisations of the Women's Cooperation Agency, West Java Association of Retired Wife, and 1 unit garbage trucks for Cooperative Market Waluya Cipanas, Cianjur.

    "Designation for securing the elections. It’s also to anticipation various purposes near the election,” the governor said after the ceremony.

    "The vehicles aims to expedite the smooth movement of goods and services, such as a garbage truck to a market cooperative,” added the Governor.

    Meanwhile, security related 5 days ahead of elections, West Java is in a safe condition until the campaign period.

    “It can be said that the campaign is relative safe, polite and well. Even though there was mutual criticism in public debate, it’s normal as a competition,” said the Governor.

    Simultaneous elections will take place on December 9, 2015. In West Java, there are seven districts/cities which will carry out the election, namely Cianjur, Bandung, Karawang, Sukabumi Pangandaran, Indramayu, and Depok.

    The event of vehicle grant handover was attended by Sespim Police, Element FKPD West Java, Kasdam Military Command III / Siliwangi, Kasdam Military District Jayakarta, representatives of West Java Police, representatives of Polda Metro Jaya, the High Court of West Java, the representative office of the Ministry of Religion West Java, representatives of BPN Regional Office of West Java, and also the foundations, institutions, and organisations.
